All right, you guys, you can put the conspiracy theories to rest.
Naya Rivera and Ryan Dorsey announced that they're expecting their first child together yesterday, which is great news! But it was quickly followed with fans thinking to themselves, "Wait a second, today is also the day that Big Sean drops his album..." Coincidence? Many thought not.
The interesting timing of their announcement became questionable because Rivera was once engaged to Big Sean before calling it off in April 2014, and then quietly tying the knot with Dorsey in Cabo San Lucas two months later.
However, Dorsey has set the record straight on why the pair chose to tell the world the big news when they did, and it has absolutely nothing to do with trying to overshadow the rapper's release.
(Are you getting the same disappointed feeling you got when you realized "IDFWU" wasn't about Naya? Yeah...)
Dorsey tweeted the following:
See. It wasn't about being sneaky, which is a relief because baby news should not have any hidden motives, right?
They just wanted to be able to share the happy baby news themselves instead of reading it online somewhere, and that's more than fair.
