Chris Farley never forgot where he came from.

He may have forgot where he graduated from, considering he went to Marquette and this is the University of Wisconsin, but still—hometown boy, homegrown son, universal favorite.

In a video re-surfaced just yesterday by Wisconsin on the football team's Facebook page, Farley is seen during a visit to campus making one heck of a recruitment pitch in the guise of motivational speaker Matt Foley, his iconic Saturday Night Live persona that many consider the greatest SNL character ever.

"If you don't go to the University of Wisconsin," a college sweatshirt-and-hat-wearing Farley says in his wheezy, high-pitched Matt Foley voice, gesturing pointedly, "you're gonna end up eating government cheese and living in a van down by the river!"

Become a Badger, yes! We're sold!

And if Wisconsin Football has more stuff like this hidden in its archive... keep sharing!

Farley's presence (or his absence, perhaps) still loomed large over the recent Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary special, which14 superstars paid tribute to all of the show's departed cast members, writers and other staffers, and couldn't help but feature a number of Farley moments. There were just that many—plus, Melissa McCarthy memorably channeled the pants-tugging Foley and went crashing into the "Weekend Update" desk mid-show.
