Dakota Johnson has no problem poking fun at herself!
The 25-year-old Fifty Shades of Grey star mocks the movie—and her snappy moment with mom Melanie Griffith on the Oscars red carpet—in a series of promos for the Saturday Night Live episode she's hosting this weekend.
In the first clip, SNL's Taran Killam asks, "So did your mom ever end up seeing Fifty Shades of Grey?"
"No, she didn't," whines Dakota. "I'm really upset about it! Mom, please watch it!"
Taran, using his best sassy teen voice, joins in. "That's so not fair," he cries. "She's like not supporting you! You just gotta, mom!" (In case you missed it, Dakota temporarily lost her temper with her famous mother during an interview with ABC News' Lara Spencer Sunday. Melanie drove the point home that she hadn't seen her offspring in the BDSM flick, hitting a nerve with her leading lady daughter!)
In another promo clip, Taran does his best Christian Grey (but he's no Jamie Dornan). The lights dim, the slow music plays, and in a hushed voice, inquires (quite seriously) which gray tie he should wear. Dakota is equally dramatic—even biting her lower lip!—before switching out of movie mode and back to her real self.
Taran fan-boys over Dakota's famous father Don Johnson, channeling his Miami Vice vibes in a turquoise shirt and light pink blazer. Dakota is comically unamused, but plays along when Taran plays the theme song and poses...Oh my!
