River Rose was born to be a model!

Seriously, just look at her adorably chubby cheeks!

Kelly Clarkson and her adorable daughter grace the cover of People's March 9 issue. Though the "Heartbeat Song" singer regularly posts pictures of her mini-me on social media, this is the first time that the mother-daughter duo have appeared on a magazine cover together.

The three-time Grammy winner describes her daughter as "the happiest baby on the planet."

Kelly also explains how her "whole life took a big 180" after marrying Brandon Blackstock in 2013 and welcoming a baby girl in 2014. "I never thought I was going to be a mom," the American Idol winner admits, "so it's very much changed my world in the most awesome way."

Those changes are reflected in her new album, out March 3.

Before she began working on Piece by Piece, Kelly, 32, took some time off just outside of Nashville with Brandon, 38, River, 8 months, and stepchildren Savannah, 13, and Seth, 8.

Becoming a wife and a mother within the span of a year shifted her perspective. "I love what I do, but I feel like I relied on my career a lot for my self-worth. And now I'm more than that. I'm a mother and a wife and have this whole other thing going on," Kelly says.

"I have a certain level of peace I didn't know was going to come with it," she adds.

After watching her own parents' marriage crumble, the "Since U Been Gone" singer vows to raise her kids differently. "My best friend always says, 'You just want to create the family you never had.' I might be doing that. In defense of my family, it happens. People fall out of love, and people go separate ways. People are human," Kelly explains. "I've accomplished a lot, but I guess the biggest success I want is that whenever I die people will say, 'She was so successful as a mother, and as a wife.' That's kind of my big goal."

People's March 9 issue is on newsstands Friday.
