It could just be the best day ever for Top 40 music fans!
Jennifer Lopez and Rihanna have released new music within hours of each other and it's almost too much for our ears. And yes, we totally mean that as a compliment!
We must first give thanks to Miss Lopez who joined DreamWorks Pictures in releasing the new single "Feel the Light" from the upcoming animated movie Home.
The film, based on the children's sci-fi novel The True Meaning of Smekday, also allows Lopez to voice one of the characters.
Not to be outdone, Rihanna also dropped a big surprise with her fans when her new single leaked a bit earlier than expected.
Titled "Towards the Sun," the track is also featured in the movie Home, which hits theaters late next month.
Featuring a children's choir, RiRi's latest work is quite different from her collaboration with Kanye West and Paul McCartney that continues to climb the charts. You could almost call it out of this world.
"Turn your face towards the sun / Let the shadows fall behind you," she sings in the chorus. "Don't look back, just carry on / And the shadows will never find you."
If the movie is half as good as this soundtrack is turning out to be, we're totally in!
