FAME PICTURESFriday night, 13 high-end designers offered swag to the stars at a Beverly Hills mansion and for a while the totally expected happened: Paparazzi flocked and celebs sipped "fashiontinis" (mixed with Skyy vodka) while waiting for their free stuff.
But when budding designer Lindsay Lohan arrived at the Scandinavian Style Mansion soiree, she reportedly threw a "hissy fit" after seeing "Paris Hilton Handbags" printed on the red carpet sponsor board.
When asked about the unfashionable fit, Lohan publicist Leslie Sloane explained that there was a lot more to it.
"We were never told that Paris was part of the event," Sloane tells E! News. "Nor did we know there was a liquor sponsor. She wouldn't have participated." Indeed, Lindsay's reps advised her not to walk the carpet until all the signage was down. In addition, Sloane says that after receiving assurances that the only press in the mansion itself would be two Scandinavian magazines, tabloid reporters and an X17 video crew were also inside.
Maybe this explains why one party-goer described Lindsay as looking "grumpy." Lindsay reportedly left the soiree less than an hour later.
Staffers subsequently restored the sponsor board to its original state for Paris Hilton's scheduled 11 p.m. red carpet stroll with beau Benji Madden.
Whatever the upshot, we're guessing this mansion bash brouhaha will have one sure result: It eliminates at least one person from that MTV reality show vying to be Hilton's BFF.
