The romance rumors between Rihanna and Leonardo DiCaprio may be just that (rumors), but if things do end up getting serious between the two, Chris Brown gives his blessing.
Does RiRI need it? No, but it's still interesting to hear the singer admit that his ex-girlfriend dating the Hollywood actor is an upgrade.
During a Hot 97 radio interview alongside tour buddy Tyga recently, Breezy was asked whether or not he's cool enough with Rihanna to send her a birthday text (the Barbados beauty turned 27 on Friday).
"Nah, I ain't getting' slapped. My girl would've slapped me," Brown said, referring to his on-again, off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran. But he did feel comfortable enough to bring up the ongoing romance speculation surrounding his ex girl and DiCaprio.
"I respect her enough to respect her privacy and her space, because I can't believe everything I hear in the news. But what I see, I'll be like, 'OK cool, there might be something else going on,'" Chris began to say and mentioned the reports claiming she is dating DiCaprio.
"I'm gonna have to give her that, because you know what? Ain't nowhere else you coulda went though. High five," he added. "You can only go up, and that's the upper, upper echelon... I'm not even a hater. I'll give you a slap on the back, booty, everything, 'Hey, do your thing. Good game.'
"In that situation, I just tip my hat. I'm not a hater. I'm not envious, I don't feel jealous. Do your thing. I can't have it all, brotha."
But don't expect to hear Breezy speak on Rihanna anymore in interviews. The singer just took to Twitter to state the following:
The latest news between Leo and RiRi came after hearing of the two getting cozy during her 27th birthday celebration over the weekend.
At the party held at a private residence in the Hollywood Hills on Friday, RiRi, dressed in a slinky, cleavage-baring sparkling silver dress, and Leo were seen kissing, touching and dancing with each other, a source told E! News on Saturday.
Another source told E! News on Saturday that Rihanna and DiCaprio have been hooking up, but that they are just having fun and that their relationship is not serious.
The two were first linked romantically in January. They were spotted flirting with each other at a friend's birthday bash at the Playboy Mansion. At the time, a source had told E! News that they were "just friends." Days later, Rihanna and DiCaprio reunited and appeared cozy at another birthday party, for Kings Of Leon musician Caleb Followill, at a West Hollywood hotel.
