Lady Gaga may have received the applause, applause, applause for her tribute to The Sound of Music at the 87th Annual Academy Awards Sunday, but she was also the most celebrated star on social media for another reason: those gloves. The "Applause" singer, 28, wore Azzedine Alaïa on the red carpet, for her performance and at Vanity Fair's after-party, but unfortunately, the Internet created memes in droves.
Chloë Grace Moretz, Lupita Nyong'o and will.i.am.'s outfits were also mocked.
The memes weren't just about the Oscar fashion, however. Oprah Winfrey, who produced Best Picture nominee and Best Original Song winner Selma, won "an Oprah" instead of a Lego, per Joe Jonas' Twitter.
Michael Keaton, Solange Knowles, Jennifer Lopez and Meryl Streep also became memes.
