You know when something reminds you of something and you can't put that something into words?

Yeah, we feel you, but that's why we're here to help you connect the dots and prove that not one, but several stars at this year's Oscars were dressed kinda like Muppets.

Now, now, before you get all huffy and puffy, let us remind you that WE LOVE THE MUPPETS and we are by no means slamming the celebs that are mentioned below. In fact, if anything, it just means we love them even more for (accidentally) paying tribute to some of our favorite puppets ever.

First up on the list is none other than Emma Stone, who stunned in a greenish-goldish Elie Saab couture gown. It ain't easy being green, or being an Oscar nominee, but the '20s-esque dress definitely reminds us of Kermit the Frog's birthday suit. We're sure he'd be honored.

Then there's Jeff Goldblum and Adrien Brody…the lovable duo who graced the big screen together in The Grand Budapest Hotel.

Sure, the hunky actors look downright dapper in their matching white tuxedo jackets, but they also may be doing their best Beaker and Meep impression right there on the Oscars red carpet. Slick, you guys. Slick.

Gone Girl's Rosamund Pike was giving us major glam in her gorgeous textured red Givenchy gown. The Brit, and new mama, pulled out all the stops for the big night and looked absolutely flawless as she posed for photos.

Maybe it's the color or maybe it's the fact that we just want to pet Pike's dress to see how it feels but we can't help but notice that she's giving Elmo a run for his (Hers? Its?) money.

Reese Witherspoon also wasn't doing anyone any favors…her black-and-white Tom Ford gown grazed her shoulders and highlighted her tiny (and enviable) figure.

But wait, what's that? Oh does the big black sash also look like Sam the Eagle's famous unibrow? Yeha, we thought so too.

And last, but certainly not least, is Jared Leto. The Oscar winner donned a baby blue tux and let his famous mane hang out in all its glory.

While he's not exactly rocking Gonzo's burgundy suit (ugh, we wish), the two are definitely sporting a similar bearded, messy hair thing. Hairspiration, much?
