Eddie Redmayne Feeling ''Relatively Chill'' Compared to His Last Oscars Experience—and He Doesn't Mind the Rain!

And it's not because he thinks he's a shoo-in for the Best Actor win...

Maybe it was the "beautifully British" rain making him feel right at home, but Eddie Redmayne was cool as a cucumber on the 2015 Oscars red carpet. (Or chill as a frozen blueberry, considering the navy tux.)

And no, he wasn't feeling relaxed because he's the front-runner to win the Academy Award for Best Actor, either. Having wife Hannah Bagshawe by his side certainly helped...

But no, the Theory of Everything star was feeling more relaxed tonight because he doesn't have to sing!

When Ryan Seacrest noted that the last time Redmayne attended the Oscars he was part of the Les Miserables musical number, the freckled English heartthrob acknowledged that he was "relatively relaxed."

"Relatively relaxed, last time I was here I knew I had to sing, and just before I went on there was a guy in a headpiece, [and he said], 'There's a billion people watching.' My vocal cords can't hack that so tonight feels relatively chill in comparison."

As for later, when he just might be known as Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne, will he be hanging out with the night's notable British contingent?

"It's lovely, like Ben Cumberbatch and Sienna Miller, we all started out together years ago, and it's always extraordinary when you get to see friends in the most extreme circumstances," he said happily.

Surely the appreciation society runs in both directions! Good luck tonight, Eddie!
