Baymax may not be fast, but he's definitely beloved by the Academy!

Disney's Big Hero 6 beat out DreamWorks' How to Train Your Dragon 2 and The Boxtrolls to take home the Oscar for Best Animated Feature, which was Disney Animation Studios' eighth nomination since the category joined the Oscars in 2002.

Big Hero 6, starring the voices of Scott Adsit, Ryan Potter, T. J. Miller, Jamie Chung, Damon Wayans, Jr. and Maya Rudolph, follows the adventures of young robotic genius Hiro and his "personal healthcare companion," Baymax, aka the best superhero sidekick ever.

Director Chris Williams took the stage with his Big Hero 6 colleagues Roy Conli and Don Hall to thank the cast and team, and he ended his acceptance speech with the most touching tribute to his parents.

"Once upon a time there was a freckled-face little boy who told his mom and his dad that one day he was going to work at Walt Disney animation," he said. "And they did something amazing; they supported him and they believed him and from the bottom of his heart, he thanks them. "

Disney won in this category in 2014 for Frozen, which is a movie you might have heard of before.

T.J. Miller, who voices Fred in the film, posted this adorable vine of the cast celebrating the win:

Congrats to the whole team behind Big Hero 6
