That's a wrap on the 2015 Oscars, folks—but the mauve lip movement is still going strong.

We saw tons of celebs pair bold pouts with lighter eyes and dewy complexions. Why? Because it makes a statement without relying on the expected smokey-eye.

To help us get the look, we turned to makeup artist Karen Sarahi Gonzalez to show us the way.

Two weeks before a major event, the 10-year beauty vet uses Crest 3D White Whitestrips. The bold lip really draws attention to your smile, so make sure those choppers are as pearly as can be.

While she whitened her teeth, Karen then applied blush. Using natural skin tones like coral will really highlight your bone structure.

"I always love this because it gives you a natural radiant glow and makes your skin look subtle," the makeup maven said.

Then, Karen moved on to her favorite part of the face—the eyes. She applied a light, matte shade first to the eye lid, setting the canvas. She then applied a darker color to the crease of the eye to enlarge the appearance of the peepers.

"Stay under the brow bone and go in circular or windshield wiper motions," she advised.

For an optional tip, apply eyeliner to get a look that screams nighttime affair. Start at the outer part of the lash line and make your way in. Don't forget to add mascara to really open up those eyes.

Finally, opt for a mauve lip color with blue undertones to accentuate your white teeth and radiant smile. Finish off your lips and don't hold back that smile!
