The Oscars red carpet is alive with the strands of the wob.

Celebrities have been fans of the wavy lob look for a good minute now. Needless to say, we just can't get enough—which is we asked E! Style Collective's resident hair guru Marc Mena to show us how to get the look.

"It shows off your neckline [and] your shoulders," gushed the hairstylist, who often creates the look for his celebrity clientele. "It's a great look if you have a statement necklace or if you're even wearing a strapless dress."

The style options are quite endless for the edgy yet sophisticated hair look. On top of that, the way you create it is entirely up to you.

"There's no wrong way when doing this hair style," Marc said.

The curling iron size and section sizes are completely at your discretion. You can even use your fingers to twist the curls.

"If it feels great; it looks greats," Marc said on the set of his how-to. "It's all about how you're feeling inside."

However, for the best results, apply Pantene Pro-V Curl Defining Hair Mousse to wet hair to help build volume. Then, section off your hair into one-inch parts and curl with a curling iron, avoiding the ends to get an edgier look. If you rotate the curling iron in different directions, it will help to create more texture.

For many of us, curling the sections in the back of the hair is the hardest part. But you don't need to entirely curl each strand. For those bottom layers, just wrap a part of the section around the curling iron to get a slight bend.

Our favorite thing about this look is that you can wear it from event to event—from brunch to an afternoon barbecue to a night out—without skipping a beat.

"To take this look from day to night, I suggest using Pantene Pro-V Blowout Extend Dry Shampoo," Marc advised.

Just don't forget to finish the look off with hairspray. After all, it's a style that could work for days—or at least until your next hair wash.
