Diablo Cody in More Trouble Than an Oscar Montage Editor

Oscar montage makers aren't the only ones taking heat for dissing the wrong famous people. Juno screenwriter/Academy Award winner/ex-stripper Diablo Cody is also feeling some hate.

And what was her crime? Blowing off the opportunity to wear a million-dollar pair of Stuart Weitzman shoes created specifically for her.

Diablo blogs about why she decided to ditch the kicks: "They're using me to publicize their stupid shoes and NOBODY ASKED ME. I would never consent to a lame publicity stunt at a time when I already want to hide."

Stu retorts that Diablo was actually very involved in the design process—it wasn't like a pair of publicity shoes just showed up on her doorstep. "Diablo Cody sent me examples of the type of shoes she liked and actually did the final selection herself," he says.

And a supersecret source told Defamer Diablo didn't like everyone calling her a hypocrite for even thinking about donning the million-dollar shoes that Juno would have scoffed at with some sarcastic, rhyming remark.

So, the devil chose to wear what we can only determine to be a pair of Candies. Now, we're happy for her success or whatever, but speaking from a stylistic perspective, homeskillet should have gone with a Steve Madden heel.

If she was going to annoy with her leopard print and tacky tat, we needed something pleasant to look at. Also, with a slit that high, you must lengthen the leg, that's just common knowledge. Didn't she have a spare pair of stripper shoes lying around the house anyway?
