Mommy's back...and she's as mean as ever!

Reign is set to welcome back Amy Brenneman as Mary de Guise, Mary's (Adelaide Kane) mother, in tonight's episode of the CW hit, which finds the castle hosting a funeral for her not-so-dearly-departed brother, the Duke of Guise. (Rough twist, bro!) The bad news? She's bringing word of a major threat to Mary's crown. The good news? She's still as deliciously snarky as ever!

In the exclusive sneak peek at "Forbidden" above, Mary sinks her claws into Lola (Anna Popplewell), Mary's BFF. You know, the one who had a one night stand with Francis (Toby Regbo), resulting in a baby?

Awkward!

"Mary is a queen who she must be seen as a force of nature, anything less endangers her," Mary de Guise snarls. "And you and your son, make her seem deficient, useless, disposable. You know what happens to disposable queens? They are disposed of. Brutally."

So how does Lola respond to this verbal attack from Mary's mother? Watch the exclusive video above to find out!

Also, let the record show that the sneak peek includes exhibit No. 345 of why we're so obsessed with Reign: "Don't flaunt your bountiful womb to me," Mary de Guise says, erupting a fit of giggles and applause from us.

Reign airs tonight at 9 p.m. on the CW.
