Oh My Mellie! This Scandal Sneak Peek Will Leave You Breathless

We're cheering as Mellie drops some major real talk on Vice President Nichols...until he fires back with his own

We never liked Vice President Andrew Nichols (Jon Tenney) on Scandal. Never ever ever.

OK...that's a lie, because we loved him when he helped Mellie (Bellamy Young) overcome her trauma of being raped by her father-in-law, and even helped her open her heart to love again. Sure, she was cheating on Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) with his own running mate, but then again, Fitz has been cheating on Mellie for years with Olivia (Kerry Washington), so we didn't hold that against the first lady.

That is, until Andrew started showing his true colors this season, and those colors were awful. First of all, he's been fooling around with Lizzie Bear (Portia de Rossi) too, and then he even had Olivia kidnapped to blackmail the POTUS into going to war.

So you can be sure as hell that we're cheering extra loud as Mellie drops some major real talk on the veep in this exclusive clip from tonight's episode, "No More Blood!"

After he refuses to step down as the VP—even though Mellie, Fitz and the rest of the White House staff has proof that he faked his own assassination—Mellie cuts him down right to his core with some scathing words about how he'll never get the power and position he wants. This is the Mellie we know and love!

But then Andrew starts firing back his own truth bombs at the first lady and our smiles disappear. Ugh, this guy is seriously scum!
