Part of Kanye West's charm is his intense egotism, which makes him say things like, "I'm the number one human being in music." We have always loved him in spite (because?) of it.
However, his Grammy acceptance speech, where he declared only himself and Amy Winehouse deserving of the Album of the Year award (coincidentally, neither won), almost put him over the top into the annoying, arrogant a-hole area.
But that's the thing with Kanye—just when you're ready to hate him, he turns around and does something totally awesome, like his "Flashing Lights" music video.
Directed by Spike Jonze, it features Kanye tied up and gagged in the trunk of a car out in the desert. Just seeing him unable to run his mouth was enough for us to forgive his Grammy ranting, but then he took a shovel to the head—thereby officially removing himself from the most annoying list.
