It may all be over, but it couldn't have gone out with any sweeter of a bang.

First, we got a whole hour of classic Mentalist when Jane had to pose as a professional psychic in order to bait a serial killer.

The baiting worked perfectly, prompting the guy – who nicknamed himself Lazarus in a great bit of foreshadowing – to kidnap Jane (Simon Baker) and take him to some sort of remote serial killer-y house. Jane quickly and easily MacGyver'd his way out of the handcuffs and into the guy's mind, pretending he could speak to Lazarus' dead serial killer father. He lured Lazarus (whose real name is Keller) into another room, which he also rigged to explode.

The explosion went off right as Lisbon (Robin Tunney) arrived to save Jane, and everything was momentarily perfect. Jane bought that little shack in the middle of nowhere, took off his old wedding ring, and proposed to Lisbon. They decided to get married right away, by themselves, without making a big deal out of it. Of course, because they didn't want to make a big deal out of it, a big deal was made out of it, and the plan to get married at the courthouse quickly turned into a huge wedding in Abbott's (Rockmond Dunbar) backyard.

This led to one of the greatest scenes the show has ever had: Cho (Tim Kang) helped Lisbon pick out a wedding dress, and now we're craving a Say Yes to the Dress spin-off featuring Cho as the new Randy. Please, TLC. Please.

Anyway, there were one or two problems. First of all, caterers and Sylvan themes did not add up to Lisbon's perfect idea of a wedding, and also Lazarus didn't die in that explosion. It just rendered him a bloody mess, which raised a few eyebrows as he wandered around trying to track down Jane by killing television hosts and pretending to fill out a marriage license. The FBI first thought he was going to show up to Abbott's house, when in fact, Lazarus had hitched a ride with the judge to where Jane and Lisbon had decided to elope: their new shack.

While we thought Lazarus was about to creep up on the unsuspecting bride and groom, he actually opened the door to find a whole shack full of agents, plus Lisbon in a wedding dress, holding a gun. Jane's would-be murderer was arrested while the wedding went on in the yard, uninterrupted and adorable, with the whole team, Lisbon's brothers, and Van Pelt and Rigsby in attendance.

Speaking of adorable, there was more: Lisbon's pregnant! Our squeals throughout this finale were off the charts, people. Very well done.

As for the team, Abbott's moving to D.C. with his wife to continue with the FBI and Cho will continue to lead the team in Austin with help from Wiley (Joe Adler). As for Jane and Lisbon, whether they'll come back to the FBI is unclear, but in any case, Jisbon is alive, together, married, and pregnant, and we really could not have asked for anything more.
