Morena Baccarin has officially been cast in Deadpool!

The Brazilian actress will be playing the romantic lead opposite Ryan Reynolds in Fox's new "antihero" film built around the Marvel character Wade Wilson.

She's most recognized for her roles in the Showtime series Homeland and the short-lived ABC reboot of V.

Baccarin currently has a recurring role as Dr. Leslie Thompkins on Gotham, and also can be spotted in Paul Feig's upcoming film Spy with funny-lady Melissa McCarthy.

The 35-year-old starlet will portray Wade Wilson's love interest, who struggles with having feelings for a man with a scarred face.

Reynolds' first appearance as Deadpool came in the film X Men Origins: Wolverine.

Blake Lively's husband will be playing an assassin who undergoes a treatment to cure his cancer that results in scarring him, physically and mentally. On the bright side, the procedures do give him superpowers.

Reynolds sweetly gave fans a sneak preview of his costume's gloves long before the film's release date.

"Sepia tone disguises the fact the mask is ballerina pink. It's early. 365 sleeps early. #deadpool #prototypes," he tweeted.

Deadpool will hit theaters on Feb. 12, 2016.
