Nicki Minaj Crew Member Killed in Philly Bar Stabbing, Another Team Member Remains in Critical Condition

"Another senseless act of violence that took the life of a great guy. So sad," rapper writes

UPDATE: On Thursday, Philadelphia police identified the deceased male as 29-year-old Devon Pickett from Bronx, New York.

They also released this description of the offender: "Unknown male, 30 years old, 5'8", light complexion, thin build, 160 lbs, full beard, wearing a black and grey jacket, last seen in a dark gold Buick LeSabre hat...fled in unknown direction."

Nicki Minaj's Pinkprint Tour doesn't kick off until next month, but things have already taken a tragic turn.

The rapper tweeted Wednesday that two members of her "team" had been "stabbed last night in Philly," writing, "One was killed. They had only been there for two days rehearsing for the tour."

A spokesperson for the Philadelphia Police confirmed to E! News in a statement that at approximately 2:35 a.m. Wednesday, a 29-year-old male and a 26-year-old male "were stabbed during an altercation with unknown offenders on the highway outside of the Che Bar and Grill located on the 6300 block of Stenton Avenue."

Prior to police arrival, the individuals were transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center by private auto, police stated. Tragically, the 29-year-old male, who was stabbed multiple times in the torso, was pronounced dead at 2:45 a.m. The 26-year-old man "is listed in critical condition," per police, "with stab wounds to his left arm and left side."

As of Wednesday afternoon, police list the offender(s) as unknown and state that an argument was the motive for the altercation. As of this time, pending family notification, police are not releasing releasing the names of men involved in the stabbing.

Nicki, however, Instagrammed a photo of two men, sending "condolences" to the deceased crew member's family. And while she noted the other gentleman "is recovering," it was clearly with a heavy heart that described the fatal event as, "Another senseless act of violence that took the life of a great guy. So sad."

Rihanna also reflected on the loss, Instagramming a picture purportedly showing the same deceased crew member. "can't believe this is true," she wrote. "one of the nicest, coolest, funniest people I'eve ever met and toured with! We had so much fun together!!! Sad to lose a beautiful spirit like yours."

The City of Philadelphia offers a $20,000 for the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s) in any homicide.
