It truly is an end of an era now that Jon Stewart is leaving the Daily Show, but the question hanging over all of our heads is: Who is going to take over for the beloved host?!

Well, appropriately enough, John Oliver has the answer. (No, it's not him.) He told Jimmy Fallon during a visit to the Tonight Show that he thinks a holographic version of Stewart should take the reigns!

"Here's the thing. How about Hologram Jon?" he asked. "He's said almost every word in the English language...surely you can just have Hologram Jon like Tupac [Shakur] hosting the show every night."

That might actually be one of the best ideas we've ever heard. If Tupac can continue to perform at Coachella, why can't a digital version of Stewart continue to host the Comedy Central hit?!

Fallon immediately hopped on board, and both started chanting, "Jon Tupac, Jon Tupac, Jon Tupac!"

The Last Week Tonight host even joked that the hologram could be Stewart from the waist up and the "Changes" rapper from the waist down.

All jokes aside (although he was still laughing), Oliver got emotional when Fallon first mentioned his longtime friend, and confessed that he wouldn't be where he is today had it not been for the Rosewater director.

"I owe that man everything. Everything," he said. "I could fact check how much I owe him and it would be everything."

The HBO star joined The Daily Show as its Senior British Correspondent in July 2006, after finding out he had been hired only two days after he interviewed for the job. He won multiple Emmys for outstanding writing in 2009, 2011 and 2012.

Oliver's success has only grown since joining Stewart's satirical news show, as it was just announced that his HBO hit has been renewed for not one but two more seasons!
