UPDATE: Afrojack wrote on Facebook Feb. 18, "I apologize for my actions," and then in further detail to TMZ said, "I'm enrolling in some anxiety foundation. Right now, I'm trying to get it done. I love my fans, I go early these days to meet and greet 'em, hang out with 'em...It was an early show...I had my frustrations [including that he hadn't properly "medicated" yet], to make a long story short, and I had a guy, he was on the side of the stage, who was yelling at me...But these girls got onstage and i accidentally—I was trying to keep rapping, one girl left andI thought both of them left and the guy was still hollering from the side of the stage...When people get onstage you don't know that they're doing, you don't know what's going to happen next...and I thought it was that guy."

It's because he couldn't see what was going on!

At least that's what Afroman's rep insists after the "Because I Got High" rapper was arrested for assault Tuesday after clocking a woman in the face when she popped up onstage during his performance at Kress Live in Biloxi, Miss.

The incident was caught on video obtained by TMZ, but his rep told the site that security was lacking at the venue and Afroman couldn't tell what the fan's intention was, let alone that it was a woman.

The woman in question was escorted off the stage by security and proceeded to file a report.

Meanwhile, E! News confirms that Biloxi Police took Afroman (real name Joseph Edgar Foreman) into custody outside Kress Live after responding to a call about an assault. The rapper was booked and released on a $330 bond.
