Jennifer Lopez kept things simple but oh-so-sweet when she celebrated Valentine's Day with her twins Max and Emme over the long weekend.
"My funny Valentines!!!" she captioned on Instagram as the six-year-olds posed in heart-shaped sunglasses. "HAPPY VALENTINES DAY everybody!!! #Love #Loveisallthatmatters #TrueLove"
While the True Love author enjoyed a peaceful day with her kids, she also made time to watch her new special on TBS that took her back to a very personal neighborhood in the Bronx.
Come on now, you know she's still the same Jenny from the Block.
Titled Neighborhood Sessions With Jennifer Lopez, the "On the Floor" singer headed to the New York borough for her first concert at Orchard Beach.
And while she performed her biggest hits for free to a massive crowd, Lopez also made time to show her kids around the places that helped pave the way for her future.
"This is where it all started for me," the dancer shared in the show while driving past high-rise housing projects. "I was walking these streets and thinking about what I wanted my life to be and dreaming about singing and dancing and acting and how could I make that happen from here."
What helped make those dreams a reality was the local Boys & Girls Club who just so happened to have a dance club.
"It seemed far-fetched," Lopez admitted. "But at the same time, my dreams were bigger than the idea that it couldn't be done."
After millions of albums sold and dozens of successful business ventures, Lopez finds herself feeling completely grateful for a childhood that helped her become a true star.
"Those are wonderful memories," she explained while reminiscing about her young years in the Bronx. "Those are not memories like thank god I got out of the Bronx. I never think of it that way, ever. There was nothing bad about that place. It's what shaped me and made me who I am."
