It sounds as though even law enforcement suspects that, when Gary Busey is involved, they may have to go the extra inch in explaining a situation.

The actor and hypnotic Amazon Fire pitchman accidentally hit a woman with his car in a supermarket parking lot off of Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu this afternoon—but she's OK, no Buseyisms required.

"Gary Busey was the driver. He was backing out of a parking stall and bumped someone," a spokesperson at the Lost Hills/Malibu Sheriff's Station confirms to E! News. "L.A. County Fire responded. Treated the victim at the scene. She was fine. There were no arrests. No conspiracies. No DUIs."

Conspiracies?

Hey, we're perfectly content just to hear that no one was seriously injured.

Busey suffered a severe head injury in a motorcycle crash, which occurred when he wasn't wearing a helmet, in 1988—so he's aware of the damage that can be wrought in a matter of seconds.

"The idea now is to relax and let it happen, to be one of the brushstrokes on the canvas of life, not the whole painting," Busey reflected in an interview with People the following year. "Dealing with the accident has given me my life back. And I'm happy to say it's not over yet."
