Valerie Fairman, who appeared on the second season of MTV's Sixteen and Pregnant, was arrested Thursday in New Castle County along with seven other women as part of a multi-agency prostitution sting.
According to the announcement issued by Delaware State Police, a particular neighborhood was targeted "in response to numerous citizen complaints about prostitution and other quality of life crimes that have been occurring." The mass arrest was a joint operation conducted by the Delaware State Police New Castle County Governor's Task Force, Delaware State Police New Castle County Drug Unit, the New Castle County Police Department, and the Wilmington Police Department.
Fairman, 21, was the youngest of the eight women arrested, the oldest being 54 and the others all in their 20s and 30s.
Police said that each was issued a criminal summons for a later court date.
According to TMZ, Fairman was still in custody as of this afternoon.
On 16 and Pregnant, she made a big splash with the fights she had with boyfriend Matt, especially the one where she had to convince him it was his baby. She went it alone for awhile, ultimately giving birth to daughter Nevaeh Lynn Fairman, but Matt was then seen working on recommitting to their relationship and their kid.
