Before we even get started, let's relive this moment when Kanye West was asked if he was venturing into the fashion industry after landing in New York on Monday...

LOL! OK, now we can begin.

For a week now, Kanye's fans have been following a timer that has been tweeted out by the rapper numerous times a day without really knowing what they were counting down to—and today, all was revealed.

The big surprise was 'Ye's inaugural #YEEZY x Adidas Original collaboration show—which included the highly anticipated Yeezy Boost sneaker—at New York Fashion Week. And between the clothes, the models, the star-studded audience and the music (just to name a few), there were many noteworthy aspects to his fashion week experience.

But then again, it's Kanye. Would you expect anything less?

Regardless, it's clear that we couldn't all be at his show, so we took it upon ourselves to put together all of the highlights from Yeezy Season One so that you wouldn't feel left out. (Oh, you're so welcome. Don't even mention it.)

There Was an Inspirational Rant: Maybe not too surprising, the show opened with a recording of Kanye ranting about his artistry (don't worry, neither Beck nor Beyoncé were mentioned), but it wasn't what you might expect. It was actually kinda nice and motivational, if you will:

Adidas Boost is the industry leading technology. And I had to use the best innovation. This is Yeezy Season One.

There's a series of people who write negative comments. they wanna joke around and say, 'Why is he still trying?'  If I see something, if I see an opportunity, I'm going to go for it. I'm here to crack the pavement and make new grounds, sonically and in society, culturally. We're not always in the position we want to be at. We're constantly growing, we're constantly making mistakes. We're constantly trying to express ourselves and actualize our dreams. I wanna create something better for you. We have been limited. It's bigger than who I am even in this, you know, my presence, living. It's about, when I was on earth, what did I do to help? I want people to think more, I want people to feel like it's okay to create and follow what their dreams are, and not feel boxed in. I want people to feel like awesome is possible. There's a lack of creativity in every field. Because people are afraid. As an artist and in this world, we can do whatever we want.

There Was Diversity: Kanye's models were a nice mix of sizes and ethnicities. Monic Perez, 22, who modeled in the show, told Elle that Kanye was "involved in absolutely everything, from the casting up until this point."

There Was Kylie Jenner's Modeling Debut: In fact, one of the models cast for Yeezy's NYFW collection was none other than his sister-in-law Kylie Jenner, who was photographed getting ready backstage with older sis Kim Kardashian (who also wore his clothes to the show, but didn't walk the runway).

There Were a Lot of Celebs: Just by looking at the front row, you'd think you were at an awards show. Rihanna, Cassie, Diddy, Jay Z, Beyoncé, Anna Wintour, Justin Bieber, Big Sean, Jonathan Cheban and Alexander Wang were among the famous faces who came out to support, along with family members Kris Jenner, Khloé Kardashian and Kendall Jenner.

There Was Crying: At some point, his baby girl North West couldn't hold back the tears and was taken out of the room. Was it the commotion? Was it the beauty of her father's work? We'll never know for sure, but Kanye offered his theory during an interview with i-D.

"Maybe she was just scared for her Daddy. She just wanted people to stop being mean to her Daddy. Because she knows that her Daddy loves the world and just wants to make it a more beautiful place," he said. Yeah, maybe.

There Was an Interesting Collection of Clothes: From nude body stockings to wig caps to camo jackets, Yeezy's logo-less collection was, well, very Kanye-y.

There Was a Song Premiere: Kanye ended the show with the premiere of "Wolves" featuring Sia, the first track from his new album! You can listen to part of it below:

What Did Critics Think?: Reviews are still coming in, but Refinery29 applauded Kanye's show as a whole—the clothes, though...not so much.

"In terms of the collection itself, things weren't as revolutionary—or 'pavement-cracking'—as promised. It was a lineup of oversized jackets, sweatshirts, sweaters, and leggings, interspersed with Vanessa Beecroft-esque nude-colored underwear. A camo parka that Kim Kardashian also wore was a highlight, and we thought the oversized backpack was a clever accessory that'll probably make it into a healthy stack of editorials."

Meanwhile, Elle wrote, "Actually? Pretty wearable. Muted, comfortable, utilitarian, distressed, and yes, cool."

What Did Twitter Think?: Unlike the professional critics, the Twitterverse didn't waste a second when it came to giving their two cents on Kanye's collection:
