Neil Patrick Harris is getting the gold treatment.

The first-time Oscar host's face appears up close and personal on the cover of Entertainment Weekly completely covered in gold paint a la Oscar himself, and it's...interesting.

We're not sure what's creepier: his crooked smile or the eyebrows. Regardless, he's here and he's making it clear that he's the guy to look for on stage on Feb. 22. Given this picture, however, there's now way you could miss him! Going "full Oscar" for the cover, NPH could practically be mistaken for the gold statue himself!

The How I Met Your Mother alum has been confident about his skills as a host in the past, having joked at the Oscars Nominees Luncheon that "everything will be hilarious" before attempting to hypnotize the crowd in order to get them to believe it!

Calling the opportunity a "dream come true," Harris thanked the gracious crowd for allowing him to come to the luncheon, which technically was him breaking the rules! Usually hosts do not attend the annual event, but hey, if we're going to make an exception, why not for NPH?!

"Thanks again for inviting me to the party today and the big dance on the 22nd," he said. "We're going to have a great deal of fun."

Speaking of fun...Frozen fans, get excited—sorry in advance, parents everywhere. The former Tony host announced via Twitter that Kristen and Robert Lopez—Academy Award winners behind Frozen—are planning something special for this year's show.

"What they're doing, I'm not at liberty to say," he said. "But I can tell you it won't be a song called ‘Let It O' with a big giant Swarovski O in the background."

OK, but let's be honest, that's not a half-bad idea.

"We couldn't be happier to have Kristen and Bobby Lopez write an incredibly special song for Neil Patrick Harris and special guests to perform this year on the Oscar stage," show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron also shared in a statement to E! News. "YouTube get ready!"
