We all know the story of Cinderella, but we don't know Lily James' version of it!
Walt Disney Pictures has released the second full-length trailer for the live-action adaptation of the classic film, and it will have you itching for March 13! We finally get an extended look at the titular character's (James) meet and greet with the prince, whom she runs into while he is out hunting.
"Just because it's what's done doesn't mean it should be done," she tells Prince Charming (Richard Madden) of his hunting hobby.
"I hope to see you again, miss," he later replies.
Their meet-cute then launches into the classic tale, set to the tune of Ellie Goulding's "My Blood." But we get an even better glimpse into the life of the evil stepmother, perfectly played by the ever-menacing Cate Blanchett. She is on a mission to have her two daughters end up as royalty, even if it means destroying her stepdaughter in the process.
But the love Cinderella feels for Prince Charming means she will go to the ends of the Earth to save him from her evil family after they realize she was the gorgeous gal at the ball.
"I will protect the prince from you no matter what becomes of me," she tells Lady Tremaine.
But if you thought that this would be just another story about the classic tale (we still love you A Cinderella Story and Ever After), you'd be wrong! Although the trailer promises viewers, "There's more to the legend than you ever dreamed," we see that Prince Charming's father, the King, teams up with Blanchett to sabotage the glass-slipper-wearing star!
