Jamie Dornan had to use an American accent to play Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey, but has the Northern Irishman mastered other dialects? When the actor appeared on NBC's Tonight Show Monday, he agreed to play a custom game called "Fifty Accents of Grey" with Jimmy Fallon. The guest and host took turns pushing a button on an "accent generator" and read passages from E.L. James' erotic novel.

Dornan pushed the button first, and he had to use a Scottish accent. "I don't remember reading about nipple clamps in the Bible," he read. Fallon laughed and said Dornan sounded a bit like Ewan McGregor!

It was then Fallon's turn to recite a line from the book. "I thought it was chocolate hot fudge brownie sex that we had, with a cherry on top," he read while using a Russian accent. "But hey, what do I know?"

During his appearance on the late-night show, Dornan also recalled previously being roommates with Oscar nominee Eddie Redmayne. "I've been going [to L.A.] for quite a long time," he said. "Ten years ago, a load of us would come over from my side of the world and try to get work and fail miserably."

Dornan and Redmayne shared a house together. "It wasn't really a house," he confessed. "It was sort of a crummy apartment. We were both failing at exactly the same kind of levels." Before long, Dornan said he fell into modeling "in a bizarre kind of way." Eventually, the actor was nicknamed The Golden Torso.

Yes, that was really Dornan's nickname. "I have no idea what the means," the actor admitted to Fallon. "An editor said that once. He described me as that. But I'm a skinny white Irish guy. 'Golden Torso' sounds like something where you go into a tanning salon and you go, 'Oh, I'll have the Golden Torso.'"

Dornan and Fallon then compared their markedly different Calvin Klein campaigns.
