The Straight Outta Compton red band trailer is here and it's amazing.

Fans were treated with the first official glimpse for the highly anticipated N.W.A biopic when it hit the Internet last night, and not only does it make us that much more excited to see it all play out on the big screen, but it also features an intimate introduction by none other than Dr. Dre and Ice Cube, who traveled back to their stomping grounds of Compton to reflect on their iconic journey.

"This is where it all started," Dre said. Ice Cube continued, "We put it all in the music, all our frustration and anger. Our music was like our weapon."

"And that's the most powerful weapon we got," Dre added.

While cruising down the street (not in a 64) and connecting with fans, Dre and Cube also caught up with fellow rappers Game and Kendrick Lamar, who each gave the famous rap group props for being pioneers in the game.

"We let the people know that it's OK to say what you wanna say. It's crazy to see how all these different people around the world feel the same way that we feel. We kicked the door down for a lot of artists," Dre said.

"Everything we was going through in the '80s with police, people are going through right now," Cube also mentioned, to which Dre concluded, "It's a good time to tell our story. Some kids in Compton, how we touched the world."

And that's when the nearly 3-minute trailer begins (and it's entirely different from the one Ice Cube revealed at that club in Sydney). Viewers will see stars Jason Mitchell (Eazy-E), Corey Hawkins (Dr. Dre) and Ice Cube's son O'Shea Jackson Jr. absolutely kill it, alongside Paul Giamatti as Jerry Heller, N.W.A.'s manager, Lakeith Lee Stanfield as Snoop Dogg and R. Marcus Taylor who portrays Suge Knight.

Speaking of Suge Knight...

Along with getting a sneak peek at what's to come when Straight Outta Compton hits theaters in August, fans were also interested to see whether or not the reported footage that was shot during Knight's fatal hit-and-run was included.

There was speculation that the Death Row Records CEO was on set of a promotional shoot for the biopic when the "tragic accident" occurred, and although Cube, Dre and Game (who were said to be on the scene when it happened) are all present in the intro, there's no definite way of knowing if that footage was included in this trailer.

Knight, who is currently charged with murder, attempted murder and hit-and-run after he struck two men in a Compton parking lot during a Jan. 29 confrontation, will remain behind bars for the next six weeks in a murder case while lawyers prepare for a hearing that prosecutors said Monday could include evidence of other crimes.

He has a bail review hearing scheduled for March 20.
