Jennifer Hudson has left quite the impression on the cast of Empire.

As E! News' own Kristin Dos Santos first reported, the Oscar winner is set to guest star on Fox's new hit drama.

"She is so great," Empire star Terrence Howard told me this weekend at Savannah College of Art and Design's third annual aTVfest television festival in Atlanta.

Series creator Lee Daniels gushed, "She's flawless.

While they're being tightlipped on her character, Howard did tease, "She's soothing the heart of a very important character and helping that character along the way."

Ohhhh. We're liking the sound of that.

In the series, Howard plays the Lucious, a music mogul who must figure out which of his three sons will take control of Empire Entertainment after he is diagnosed with ALS.

Meanwhile, Howard said he'd love to see Bill Clinton on the show.

"Now, that's a party," an enthusiastic Daniels said. "Bill Clinton! We could get him. I'm sure we could get him."

Daniels joked that he was hoping for a royal cameo.

"I want a moment between Prince William and Jamal," Daniels said.

Jamal, if you haven't watched the show yet  (you really should be!) is Lucious and ex-wife Cookie's gay son.

Jussie Smollett, who plays Jamal, told me at Universal Music Group's Grammy after party at The Theatre at Ace Hotel that he did get to work with Hudson. When the cameras weren't rolling, he'd break out into one of her tunes because "I know all of her songs," Smollett said. "She'd join in. She's really cool. We were just singing and dancing around. She's awesome. She's dope."
