Despite the Jean Paul Gaultier gown looking like it was as tough as gold-plated armor, the couture number tore like tissue paper.
"Basically, my pocket fell off — the whole pocket fell off," explained Kanye West's wife on E!'s After Party show. "When I sat it ripped and we were sewing and safey-pinning."
Too bad the audience camera didn't catch that amazing alteration!
The dress—which Kim joked is "probably 100 pounds"—was handpicked for her by the rapper himself.
"He saw this online at a couture show and sent me the picture and said, ‘Babe do you like this dress?'," Kardashian explained. "He called the designer, gets it and it's sitting my dressing room. I'm the luckiest woman alive."

For his part, the "Only One" singer attended the event in a Balmain suit, which he later ditched so he could perform in a much more comfy sweatshirt—that is allegedly from his upcoming Adidas collection.
