Seth Rogen, Zac Efron and Rose Byrne are reuniting for Neighbors 2, Universal Pictures confirmed Friday. The R-rated comedy, a sequel to their 2014 summer hit Neighbors, is set for a May 13, 2016 release date.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, who was first to report the Neighbors 2 news, the follow-up film has a female twist! While Neighbors revolved around the first-time parents (Rogen and Byrne) and the loud, partying frat brothers next door (including Efron!), it's a sorority causing the couple trouble this time. And this young couple learned the hard way they're no match for college kids, so they enlist their former nemesis to help them take on the troublesome sisters.
Will Efron's character have evolved beyond his frat star ways? Will there still be sex toy fights between the film's leading men? And if you factor in the inevitable shirtless scenes, will any single sorority girl be able to resist Efron?
We'll have to wait and wait and see (although we all know no bond of sisterhood coudl be stronger than Efron's abs)! Neighbors 2 is preparing to shoot this summer.
