Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are heading to the Grammys nominated twice for their song "Meanwhile Back at Mama's" on his album Sundown Heaven Town

McGraw tells E! News, the song came about when he was on carpool duty, "I was picking up my daughter at school. I was listening to that song in the pickup line at school, and fell in love with it instantly." McGraw headed home to Faith, and told her, "I found a great song, we're going to record it, and you're going to sing it with me!"

McGraw said Faith was immediately moved by the tune. "I played it for her, and at the end of it, she cried, and said she would do it." McGraw continued, "We always want to sing together, but surprisingly we haven't done it that often…The song has to be special for us to record it. If we were just recording songs out of hand, it wouldn't mean anything."

The duo is not only successful in their music, but they also continue to have one of the strongest marriages in Hollywood. McGraw says he's not sure if he's the best person to give marriage advice, but tells E! News, "The main thing is there's going to be ups and downs, and you're not always going to see eye to eye. There will be times that you don't like each other. You just have to know you're in it for the long haul and you're committed to it. You just have to look at the big picture and enjoy life together."

The duo will take over the Grammys on Sunday, and McGraw doesn't take the nomination for granted. "When you get those nominations in general is very special, but to have it with my wife, and to have my first Grammy I ever won be with my wife. It never gets old doing something like that with your wife."
