It's official—the smokey eye has cemented its place in red carpet history.

Tons of celebrities complemented their gorgeous Grammys getup with the nighttime beauty look. It brings a sexy, edgy allure perfect for the unpredictable awards show. Needless to say, viewers approved.

After we got hundreds of #GetThatGlam tweets asking for a celebrity-status smokey eye tutorial, we tapped our friends at COVERGIRL and beauty vlogger Stephanie Ledda for a how-to worthy of a music hit-maker. Hey, ask and you shall receive.

To get a sexy, fun look on your next night on the town, follow Stephanie's lead and use a neutral eye palette, like COVERGIRL Eyeshadow Quad in Notice Me Nudes, it has four shades so you can follow along to achieve a dimensional smokey eye as you apply the pigment to the crease from darkest to lightest.

Then apply a lighter, shimmery shade and diffuse the colors with a blending brush. Next, take the darkest color and apply it to your lower lash line and the outer parts of your eyelid.

For a sultry appeal, apply black eyeliner to your upper and lower lash lines and gently blend it into your eyeshadow. Finally, apply a black, volumizing mascara for dramatic effect.

Top off the eye-catching look with lip liner, COVERGIRL Colorlicious Lip Color in a light nude shade and a little gloss in the center for a plump pout. Look at you! You're ready for a night to remember.

Didn't quite catch all that? Don't sweat it—the video above has all the stop-and-repeat action you need.
