"They're here" again.

The malevolent spirits are back and haunting the Bowen family in Sam Raimi's reboot of Poltergeist. Raimi and Gil Kenan have contemporized the 1982 scary movie classic, but based on this trailer, it isn't any less horrifying. After the spirits capture the daughter, the family tries to launch an all-out attack against them, but the poltergeist is stronger than a suburban family.

The trailer begins with the family checking out their soon-to-be new home, with the kids falling in love with it because of the hair-raising (literally) effect that happens when they touch the door handles...little do they know that is not a good thing. After they finally move in, mysterious signs present themselves that all is not normal in their supposed-to-be perfect household.

"This isn't just a few pissed-off spirits we're dealing with," the man who intervenes to help them says. "This is a poltergeist."

The family is then warned that the portal to the "other side" where their daughter has been taken to is only open for a short amount of time before it's closed forever, taking their daughter with them.

As with every horror film, the trailer is filled with scary images, startling scenes and music so creepy that you will be wincing just watching!

"They already know what scares you," the advisor warns.

Cue the creepy clown dolls, slamming doors and the daughter who has reappeared without a face.

Poltergeist is set to hit theaters on July 24, but this trailer will make you wet your pants well before then.
