Breaking news: Justin Bieber is officially Team Jake!
Okay, we may be using the term "breaking news" a little loosely here, but this revelation is completely turning our Scandal-loving world upside down. We never thought we'd ever have a reason to agree with the Biebs—regardless of his recent apology tour, we never suffered from Bieber Fever and have been thoroughly inoculated after the past few years of his...ahem, questionable behavior.
But now we will never, ever watch Scandal the same way again.
When a resourceful fan noticed that Scott Foley recently followed Bieber on Twitter, she was quick to question the reasons behind why the Scandal heartthrob would have clicked that blue follow button. Was it an accident? Was it a joke? WHY?!
@scottkfoley Why, though? W H Y pic.twitter.com/r3aXMX9pI7

Much to our—and definitely her—surprise, Foley actually answered!
@TheBegatron Ha! Met him today. Liked him a lot.

And then Bieber got into the conversation, introducing one of the greatest hashtags that has ever graced Twitter in the history of the social media site:
@scottkfoley good meeting you as well. #kindeyes. Haha. Congrats on the new baby
? Justin Bieber (@justinbieber) February 5, 2015
Yeah, we gotta agree with you, Biebs...Foley does have some major #kindeyes.
And then Foley solidified the friendship with one last tweet:
@justinbieber Thanks man. It was a pleasure.

What a time to be alive!
Now the Bieber is officially Team Jake, we wonder what he'll think of tonight's episode, when Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) considers forcing the United States to go to war, all over one woman. Hey, we love Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) as much as the next Scandal fan, but even we know where to draw the line when it comes to putting the entire country in jeopardy over the fate of one person.
Scandal airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on ABC.
