She's a knockout, but there's a lot more to this blond bombshell than the barely-there bikini and ME&RO pendants she's rocking on the cover! She's obviously excited about it all, but as says in this IMG Models (her agency) Instagram video, it "doesn't feel real yet!"
But it's very real, and the 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue hits stands Monday. In the meantime, here are five things you need to know about Hannah!
1. She's Always Been a Beach Babe: Although her latest cover is set on a farm (!), Hannah was born and raised in the U.S. Virgin Islands—St. Thomas, to be precise. So what was it like growing up in paradise? "We were really into water sports: wakeboarding, surfing, skin boarding," she told Ocean Drive in 2013. "There's not a whole lot to do on this island besides being at the beach and all that."
2. She's Also a Serious Athlete: Before she began working as a full-time model, Hannah's tennis career was quite impressive! According to the Virgin Islands Daily News, she played the Caribbean Tennis Circuit and was ranked No. 1 or No. 2 from the time she was 12 until she graduated high school in 2008. She was ranked among the top 50 young players in the country, too. That's not all, either—according to Hannah's hometown paper, she also played on the Antilles volleyball team and the USVI volleyball team.
3. She's a Fashionista With Some Unique Talents, Too: Hannah got her start with Ralph Lauren and wears big-name designers on the reg, but she knows local is cool, too! Just a week before her S.I. cover was revealed, she Instagrammed a selfie wearing a tank from a local boutique, wriiting,"Thanks to my girl @dimesandnickels I can rep the Virgin Islands!! Love you! #VI #stthomas." She also plans to launch her own swimwear line sometime in the near future.
As for those special talents?! "I know how to stilt walk, and I also have a unicycle. I'm basically like a circus clown," she told Ocean Drive. "These are things I learned when I was younger, but my parents like to point out that I still know how to do them. At parties they'll say, "Well, Hannah can [ride a] unicycle. You should see her on it!" And I'll be like, "Mom!" But then I'll say, "Okay, fine. Where is it? I'll show you."
4. She's All About Family: As you can see from this snap of Hannah dressed up for nephew's birthday party, she's willing to do just about anything for the ones she loves. As her childhood best friend Zan Schmidt told Sports Illustrated's Swim Daily blog, "Hannah has always been extremely close to her family and treats close friends like family members as well. She would chose her family over a night out any day, and even when we are hanging out together at her home we are usually hanging with her whole family as well...Now her whole family travels back and forth to New York and St. Thomas often, and can always be found together in one place or the other."
5. She's Dating Derek Jeter: Last, but certainly not least, Hannah just so happens to be romancing the recently retired New York Yankee! The low-key couple has been together for a few years now, and while engagement rumors have surfaced about the twosome in the past, Hannah and Derek don't appear to be in any rush to the altar!
