The Gotham cast warned us that more villains are heading our way...and now, we know exactly who will be causing some major trouble for Det. Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie)!

E! News has learned that Heroes fan-favorite alum Milo Ventimiglia has been cast as a guest star in a major recurring arc this season on Gotham. So which DC character will the Gilmore Girls vet and star of ABC's upcoming sci-fi drama The Whispers play?

Ventimiglia has landed the role of Jason Lennon, a.k.a. the Ogre...but there's a catch.

According to both Fox and Warner Bros., while this Ogre shares a nickname with a character from the DC Comics, it is a different character, not from the DC canon. Interesting...

Here's what we know about Gotham's version of the Ogre: he's described as handsome, wealthy and seductive, but he's also a serial killer who has been preying on the young women of Gotham for nearly a decade, luring them into his web and confronting them with a series of "tests" as he searches for his perfect mate. Um, super creepy.

And then when the women fail to live up to his impossible standards, Lennon disposes of them—quickly and viciously. Make sure to watch his episodes with the lights on, no?

His obsessions, combined with Gordon's determination to bring him down, send both Gordon and Lennon—and those around them—on a course toward tragedy. Dark, dramatic, and creepy, just how we like our Gotham villains!

Ventimiglia will guest-star in multiple episodes, first appearing on the Fox superhero origin drama in episode 19. Gotham airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on Fox.

With all this news about Ventimiglia's future projects, we caught up with him to find out if he'd return for NBC's Heroes reboot Heroes Reborn with Jack Coleman and new-to-the-franchise Zach Levi.

Unfortunately, it doesn't sound all that promising from the answer he gave us.

"When the show ended for me, I was like, OK, that story is done," he told E! News. "To drum up old relationships is kind of unnerving. It's kind of like that girlfriend that you really loved way back when, and you just want to fall in love again...But honestly I'm just so excited for Jack and crew moving forward. Whether it's my involvement or not, I'm very excited for all of them."
