The baseball star and girlfriend Torrie Wilson have called it quits, a source confirms to E! News.
"It happened several weeks ago, before the new year," the source tells us. "It's amicable. They're still friends and they still support each other."
The New York Yankee began dating the former WWE diva in 2011 after splitting from wife-of-six-years Cynthia Scurtis in 2008. A-Rod also famously dated actress Kate Hudson for several months after his divorce, which was definitely a relationship that sparked headlines.
Their brief coupledom became headlines again when the Fabletics designer opened up to InStyle magazine about her ex-boyfriend's doping scandal that alleged he had used doping substances during the 2012 season.
"I personally think that you make the choices you make and you should reap the consequences," Hudson told the mag. "People have a right to [feel betrayed]. Lance [Armstrong] and Alex are phenomenal athletes who have made some bad choices and let a lot of people down."
The allegations ultimately led him to be suspended for the entire 2014 season and postseason, which was the longest suspension in baseball history.
After hooking up with Hudson, A-Rod embarked on a relationship with Cameron Diaz for about a year until he ultimately met and fell in love with Wilson.
Although Wilson hasn't commented on the split, she did retweet "inspirational tweeter" Dale Partridge who posted, "Beautiful things happen when you distance yourself from negativity." She also Instagrammeda photo of herself with a friend two weeks ago and captioned it, "There's nothing like a #Friend who has been there to see it all. #NeverForgetYourGirlsLadies #TampaLife #ForeverAGirlsGirl."
