Outlander is no fairy tale.

Although Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) have only just gotten married (and consummated that wedding in one of the steamiest episodes of television we've ever seen!), they are not going to get a "happily ever after" and ride off into the sunset. That wouldn't be much of a TV show, now would it?!

As the #Droughtlander nears its end (finally!), Starz has released a new trailer for the second half of the first season of the hit new show, and it's pretty clear that Jamie and Claire are going to have to fight if they want to stay together.

"Claire has to become very honest with herself and honest with Jamie," Balfe says in the new trailer. "You're just really going to love seeing what it means for the two of them to stay together rather than get together."

And the newlyweds are going to face trouble on all sides, most of all from Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies), who "is not quite finished" with his fascination with Jamie.

"It's going to be dark," executive producer Ronald D. Moore says in the video. "The second half becomes more complex. The second half of the season is about fallout and repercussions. We'll start to see the political aspects of the Jacobites and the Red Coats and the split between the brothers."

And it all leads up to what is sure to be the most talked-about episode of television...ever. "The final episode of the season will go in a direction that a lot of audiences are not expecting," Moore teases.

Balfe leaves fans with this simple-yet-ominous warning: "Have a cushion ready to hide behind."

Outlander returns Saturday, April 4 at 9 p.m. on Starz.
