Ouch!

Nicole Kidman's daughters Sunday Rose, 6, and Faith, 4, know how to dole out some good Fashion Police shade—at their own mother!

It all went down on Saturday night when the Oscar winner slipped into an black Altuzerra gown to co-host the G'Day USA Gala and AACTA International Awards in Hollywood.

"My daughters were like, 'Hmmm, you're too tall,'" Kidman admitted to me. "They don't like when I wear high shoes. I keep telling them they're going be tall one day."

For Kidman, picking the dress was simple. "It's comfortable," she said. "It's a big thing right now for me."

During the show, surprise guest Russell Crowe complimented Kidman on her dress and invited her to get a drink at the bar.

"I'll get you a high stool," he cracked.

A flustered Kidman laughed and asked they get "back on track" in handing out the AACTA award for best film.

"We were going to a really good place right now," Crowe said. "Look, see how everybody's laughing and enjoying themselves."

Kidman warned, "They're worried."

The Paddington star co-hosted the event with Geoffrey Rush.

Among the presenters was Rebel Wilson.

"I'm honored to be here tonight at G'Day USA, which so far is a lot more fun than last month's G'Day Ukraine," the Bridesmaid actress cracked.

We're not sure if Wilson knew Crowe was in the crowd because she also joked, "It is great to see that Russell Crowe is not here…I don't have to have that really awkward conversation with him like, 'You're too old to be in the next Pitch Perfect movie.'"
