Sarah ColonnaSarah Colonna is officially a WAG—and proud of her newfound title.
The 40-year-old comedian, who is engaged to Seattle Seahawks' punter Jon Ryan, attended the Super Bowl XLIX in Glendale, Ariz., where the blond beauty came out to support her fiancé, who popped the question just before the New Year.
And despite the fact that the New England Patriots won the Big Game (if you're a Seahawks fan, you're probably still shedding a tear), Colonna made the most of her Super Bowl Sunday and documented her day in a hilarious diary.
In her upcoming book, Has Anyone Seen My Pants?, the New York Times bestselling author dishes on her romance with Ryan and reveals how she came to meet her man, who is clearly her perfect match.
"A couple days after I got back to LA, I noticed a tweet someone sent to me. It stood out as the sender said that he had met a friend/coworker of mine, Ross Mathews, at 'the game on Sunday' and hoped Ross put in a good word for him with me," she writes. "I clicked on the profile to see that it was a guy named Jon who plays for the Seattle Seahawks...Although I am a fan of sports, football is the sport I follow the least as it generally confused the s--t out of me. I did know the Seahawks were on their way to the Super Bowl, but that was about it. However, I was curious about this guy who wanted to meet me, so I Googled him."
After tweeting back her future beau, the two began a text relationship and quickly discovered that they had a number of things in common. "Was this guy created in a lab for me?" Colonna questions in her book, later admitting they were totally "smitten" on their first date.
Of course, Colonna is now a loyal Seahawks fan, but it was a bit of a rough start to understanding football. "I don't understand this," she writes of last year's game, which she watched at her pals' house, shortly after meeting Jon.
"Well you better start understanding," her friend replied. "You can't be an NFL wife and not know what the f--k is going on."
