Scott Foley Suffers Injury During Shirtless Scandal Sprint, Remains Adorable

Foley's wife revealed the ABC star twisted his ankle while running down the stairs for a scene in the midseason premiere and she's got the adorable photo to prove it!

Shirtless running is a dangerous game, people!

Scott Foley learned that lesson the hard way while filming Scandal's midseason premiere, y'all!

The insane hour kicked off with Jake (Foley) learning Olivia (Kerry Washington) had been kidnapped while he was in the other room, clad only in his boxers. Cue the former B613 assassin sprinting through the streets of Washington, D.C., shirtless, wearing just said boxers.

While Twitter enjoyed the scene very, very much, Foley had a less than great time filming the shirtless sprint: he hurt his ankle while running down the stairs!

"Btw- aftermath of running with no shoes. On the street. #Scandal@scottkfoley#dasboot#foleyfangirls," Foley's wife Marika Dominczyk captioned a photo she posted on Twitter on Thursday night.

Fortunately, his twisted ankle didn't stop Foley from finishing the scene. Yes, he's just that awesome.

Scandal creator Shonda Rhimes also tweeted about Foley's fun run, writing, "Fun fact: @scottkfoley was less than thrilled but very game about running around outside in his undies. After I'd made him dance. #ScandaI."

Scandal airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on ABC.
