It's always a blast when A-list celebs appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, but what happens when another comedian stops by? Hilarity ensues.

That's exactly what occurred on Friday when Jimmy Fallon dropped by the funnylady's talk show, where the 57-year-old TV personality kicked off their chat by scaring the crap out of the Tonight Show host.

"You're not mean-spirited, you're just a little cruel," he said after covering his eyes and admitting, "You did get me."

"It's not cruel, it's just sneaky," DeGeneres clarified—press play to watch her silly prank!

After Fallon regained his composure, the conversation turned to the topic of his very first Tonight Show (the 40-year-old comedian replaced Jay Leno as the host of the series in February 2014), and he admitted his parents certainly didn't help to quell his nerves.

(Apparently, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.)

"I came out and did some jokes, and I made a joke about high school or something," he said. "Of course, my mom and dad are in the audience because it's my first Tonight Show—and my dad heckled me. Can you believe that?!"

"Can you believe my life?" he continued, "I couldn't believe it was happening!"

"I go, 'What is going on? Your son, this is probably the most nerve-wracking he's ever going to be and you heckle?'" he said before sharing exactly what went down. "Here's what happened, I made some joke about 'Hey Dad, or Mom and Dad, I didn't graduate high school,' which I did but it was joke, 'I didn't graduate high school, but here I'm the host of the Tonight Show.' And everyone was laughing, they clap it was a funny joke and my dad goes, 'We paid a lot of money for that school!' Got a giant laugh, bigger laugh than my laugh and people are clapping and I'm like, 'Did that just happen?' I just heard my dad's voice yelling at me."

As for the real kicker? "The other thing is I went to public school, he didn't pay a lot of money! Taxes, I don't want to get into math with my dad, what are you talking about?"

During their chat, Ellen also brought up Fallon's embarrassing moment which occurred on the Tonight Show earlier this month, where he learned that he blew his chances to date Nicole Kidman

Upon learning that the 47-year-old beauty would be present in his home, the funnyman rushed to the grocery store to pick up cheese and crackers—and proceeded to put out a spread that screamed "clueless bachelor."

"I get Brie cheese and saltine crackers. And I go and I love it, but I don't know anything about cheese and crackers," he explained. "I don't even have a cracker plate, so I put the cheese on a normal dinner plate and I have the saltines, but I'll never forget this. I peeled it back almost like a disco '70s shirt where you just, I peeled it back so it was kind of a little showy, a little glamorous"

"Wait! It was still in the sleeve?" DeGeneres exclaimed of the saltines.

"Yeah, yeah, still in the sleeve," he admitted, adding, "But I feathered out the crackers so it was classy."
