We have yet another cast member telling us that Beetlejuice 2 will be happening!

Winona Ryder told HuffPost Live that the highly anticipated sequel should be going into production, although a timetable hasn't been discussed. Ryder played Lydia Deetz in Tim Burton's 1988 classic.

"As far as I know, it's gonna happen," she said from the Sundance Film Festival.

That's all the confirmation we need, but in case there is any speculation floating around, Burton revealed in December while promoting Big Eyes that a sequel to the cult dark comedy is "closer than ever," but there was one teeny stipulation...Michael Keaton would HAVE to reprise his role as the titular character!

Geffen Pictures

"There's only one Beetlejuice, and that's Michael," he said. "There is a script, and I would love to work with him again. I think there is now a better chance than ever… I miss that character. There's something that's cathartic and amazing about it. I think it's closer than ever."

Thankfully, the Birdman actor has no problem with that!

"I always said that's the one thing I'd like to do again, if I ever did anything again," he told MTV News. "But it kind of required Tim to be involved some way or another."

Seth Grahame-Smith, who worked with Burton twice in 2012, on Dark Shadows and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, has penned the script. He is slated to produce the movie with partner David Katzenberg.
