Move over, Ryan Reynolds. There might be a new Green Lantern in town.

Tyrese Gibson has launched an extremely unsubtle campaign vying for the lead in DC Comics' 2020 reboot of the superhero film. Posting about 14 photos on the picture-sharing app, Gibson has made it very clear that he's ready to take on the green suit.

The actor and Instagram user @Bosslogic seemed to have teamed up to help the Transformers star "get that ring." Tyrese posted one of Bosslogic's pics of himself dressed as the superhero and captioned it, "DETERMINED!!!!!! 20|20 shout to @bosslogix 'I am fully committed to suiting up for this adventure' - @Tyrese #GL 'In brightest day, in blackest night, No evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might, Beware my power, Green Lantern's light!!!'"

Tyrese is familiar with the idea of the blockbuster franchise, having starred in the Fast and the Furious series and the Transformers films, too. He credits the creative account for inspiring the idea, but seems to be taking it to an entirely new level by continuing to post about the coveted role. Considering it's five years away, it's safe to say Tyrese is dedicated to nabbing it.

The actor first posted a Green Lantern pic on Jan. 23, writing, "Rumor has it that."

Reynolds played the titular character in 2011, and although the movie grossed $219 million worldwide, fans considered him a disappointment. Will Tyrese, should he nab it, be a better hero? We guess we'll just have to see if DC Comics chooses him!

In the meantime we can look forward to seeing him in Furious 7 on April 3.
