But the actress has since topped herself in the creepy-Instagram-pic department.
"My new head shot taken at dentist!!!!!" Shields captioned a selfie she took while in the chair, her mouth gaping open and held in place by one of those plastic guards the doc puts in there in order to have free reign over your mouth.
Gee, thanks for the nightmares, Brooke! (Her teeth do look great, though. Presumably her dentist is not The Dentist from Little Shop of Horrors.)
Apparently Shields had her appointment after getting all gussied up for the Today show this morning, where she chatted with Willie Geist and Al Roker about turning 50 (in May) and they brought up her now infamous Barbie-box pic.
Talking about her upcoming milestone birthday, Shields gushed that she was "so excited" to be "half a hundred."
"It's taken me so long to sort of merit how old I feel anyway, 'cause I've been around a long time! It's like I've always been older than my years," she explained. "I do think getting to that age, or that number, that type of milestone, I think you just start to say, 'This is it, this is who I am.' I'm surrounded by good people, I love my life—I want more, always, creatively."
Brooke has certainly been pushing the boundaries of the selfie arts lately—we can't wait to see what she'll do next!
