Nothing like casting your girlfriend as the female lead in your music video to show your love.
Chris Brown released his latest music video for his new single "Autumn Leaves" off of his 2014 album X, and upon watching it, fans will instantly recognize one very familiar face—his on-again, off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran!
Yep, Breezy made his leading lady the, um, leading lady in the music video, which has a samurai and Star Wars-ish vibe to it. We know that sounds kinda weird, but once you watch the music video, you'll totally get it.
In the video, Brown channels a samurai warrior who's in love with a beautiful woman played by Karrueche, who is rocking Princess Leia buns and lipstick (that's where the Star Wars vibe comes into play). The pair barely interact throughout the clip, but finally reunite at the end, where they get up close and personal by the ocean at a tropical beach.
The track also features rapper Kendrick Lamar, who delivers a guest verse on the song but doesn't appear in the video. Instead, Breezy raps K.Dot's bars as he stands in the ocean with his swords while scantily clad women flaunt their enviable curves on the beach.
There's no word if this single is about his tumultuous relationship with Tran, but the lyrics (which include "If you leave this time I feel that you'll be gone for good/ So I hold on like leaves and fall to what is left) and the fact that she's the main girl he's chasing after in the video definitely lead us to believe it is.
