While Tom Brady was busy fielding literal soft-ball questions at one of the more uncomfortable NFL press conferences in recent memory (and that's saying a lot), Julian Edelman was busy doing nothing of the sort.
Whether he purposefully meant to or not, the star wide receiver effectively managed to distract the Internet from Deflategate for a bit when he posted one of the best #TBT-spirited videos we've seen in a long time.
"This is how you #TBT #GoPats," Edelman tweeted along with a video called "Growing Pats," set to the opening theme song of classic 1980s sitcom Growing Pains. And, just as the show did with pics of stars Alan Thicke, Kirk Cameron, etc., this too features childhood photos of Edelman, Brady, running back Shane Vereen, tight end Rob Gronkowski and even the perennially surly coach Bill Belichick.
So if you've never seen Bill Belichick smile before...well, he kinda squint-smiles here. Watch and enjoy (and if you watched this show in prime time while growing up in the '80s—you're especially most welcome):
